Terms of Service

Last updated: September 9, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Chattoro for using the service. By creating an account or using Chattoro, you agree to them. They are written to be read, not skimmed: they are short.

1. Your account

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country, if higher) to use Chattoro. Keep your password secure; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us right away at [email protected] if you believe your account has been compromised.

Bridged accounts created for Discord members by the Discord bridge are not accounts you can log into. To use Chattoro as that person, link your Discord account as described in the app.

2. Your content

You own the content you create on Chattoro. By posting it, you give us the limited license we need to store it, display it, and deliver it to the people you share it with, including relaying it to Discord when you post in a bridged channel. We do not claim ownership of your content, and we do not use it for advertising.

3. Acceptable use

Keep Chattoro a place people want to be. You agree not to:

  • Harass, threaten, impersonate, or defraud other people.
  • Share illegal content, or any content that sexualizes minors.
  • Send spam or malware, or use the service to attack other people or systems.
  • Try to access accounts, communities, or systems you are not authorized to access.
  • Interfere with the service, the Discord bridge, or its bot, or automate access to them without our written permission.
  • Resell the service or scrape it in bulk.

4. Communities and moderation

Community owners and moderators may set additional rules for their communities and remove content or members. We may remove content, suspend accounts, or shut down communities that violate these terms. Where reasonable we will tell you what happened and why.

5. The Discord bridge

You may only connect a community to a Discord server that you are authorized to administer, and you are responsible for that community following both these terms and Discord's rules. Content that crosses the bridge is subject to Discord's terms of service on the Discord side. Chattoro is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or supported by Discord.

6. Overdrive

Some features are part of Overdrive, our premium tier. Access to Overdrive may be granted with a gift code. Overdrive features may change over time. Chattoro does not currently sell anything on the site; if we ever offer paid plans, separate terms will apply to them.

7. The service

Chattoro is a small, independently run service provided as is. We work to keep it available and secure, but we cannot promise uninterrupted service, and we may add, change, or remove features. If we ever discontinue the service, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your data.

8. Termination

You can stop using Chattoro and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Chattoro is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or 100 US dollars, whichever is greater. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Changes and contact

We may update these terms. For material changes we will announce them in the app and on this page before they take effect; continuing to use Chattoro after that means you accept the new terms. Questions? Email [email protected].
